Andre Ford, aged 30, was involved in a tragic altercation that led to his death on May 31, 2017, in Houston, Texas. The incident took place at a convenience store on Fondren Road, where Ford was involved in a dispute with another individual, later identified as Cedrick Cotton. According to reports, the argument started outside the store and escalated inside before culminating at the front of the store, where Ford fatally stabbed Cotton in the left side. After the stabbing, Ford left the scene.
Paramedics who arrived on site pronounced Cotton deceased.
Following an investigation, Ford was identified as the primary suspect in Cotton's death. He was arrested on February 25, 2021, by Houston Police Department officers. Charges of murder were subsequently filed against him in the 209th State District Court. This incident underscores the dangers of conflicts escalating into deadly violence, and the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division played a central role in pursuing justice by following up on leads and eventually capturing Ford.
