Demonique Johnson, aged 30, was tragically killed on November 10, 2017, in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred at a Family Dollar store located on Jensen Drive, where Johnson was working at the time. Around 10:05 p.m., two suspects, both described as Black males in their twenties, approached Johnson near the front entrance of the store. The encounter escalated into a physical struggle, during which Johnson was shot multiple times. He was subsequently transported to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Several employees were present inside the store during the shooting, though none of them were physically harmed. After the shooting, the two suspects fled the scene on foot—one of them was wearing a gray hoodie while the other had on a black and white hoodie. Authorities have been working to gather more information regarding the motive behind the shooting and have appealed to the public for any leads, including potential video footage that might assist in identifying the assailants.
