In the late summer evening of August 27, 2003, a call regarding a domestic disturbance came into the Memphis Police Department, sending Officer Anthony Louis Woods into a situation that would tragically be his last. At 35 years old, the African American officer was a respected seven-year veteran of the force, known for his dedication.
