In the fading daylight of a late winter evening in Nashville, Tennessee, the life of 23-year-old Matthew Lamont Hailey was brought to an abrupt and violent end. On Tuesday, February 24, 2009, the sound of gunfire echoed in the vicinity of 11th Avenue South, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement.
