In the late hours of a summer night in Nashville, Tennessee, the life of 23-year-old Derrick Martez Osborne, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On August 25, 2009, he was fatally shot inside his home at 3912 Creekway Court. The grim discovery was made by his father, who returned home around 1:30 a.m. to find his son deceased on the living room floor.
