In a tragic and unresolved case from 2012, 52-year-old Darryl Suggs, a male resident of Memphis, Tennessee, lost his life following a violent robbery. On the afternoon of Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Suggs reported that he had been robbed at 583 S. Parkway by two men armed with handguns. During the encounter, after complying with their demands for money, one of the assailants struck him on the head with a handgun.
Following the assault, Suggs was transported to
the hospital to be treated for the injuries he sustained during the robbery. Despite receiving medical care, his condition did not improve, and he ultimately succumbed to his injuries on February 6, 2012. His death was classified as a homicide, prompting an investigation by the Memphis Police Department.
The initial description of the suspects was limited to two Black males armed with handguns, and no further details were provided.
