In the early morning hours of November 5, 2016, a burst of gunfire on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Knoxville, Tennessee, tragically ended the life of 44-year-old Ronald Eugene Nelson Jr. An African American man, Nelson was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
