Jerry Hutchings, age 54, was found shot to death in the driveway of his home in Powell, Knox County, Tennessee, on July 13, 1994. On the morning of his death, his wife, Yvonne Kitchen, heard gunshots and called 911. When officers from the Knox County Sheriff's Office arrived, they discovered Jerry lying on the driveway near his car, which still had the engine running. It appeared that he had been preparing to leave for work when the shooting occurred.
