On a seemingly ordinary Thursday evening, June 11, 2020, the life of 24-year-old Aseal Iysheh was tragically cut short in Knoxville, Tennessee. A little after 9:00 PM, she was at a local BJ's Food Mart on East Magnolia Avenue. Around 9:15 PM, she sent a text to her sister indicating she was hungry, a simple message that gave no hint of the violence that would soon erupt.
