On May 13, 2023, Madison Johnson, aged 22, and her friend Heidi Johnson, aged 20, were found deceased in a residence on Woodlawn Pike in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Knoxville Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance call that morning. Due to concerns that an armed suspect might still be inside, crisis negotiators were dispatched but were unable to make contact. Upon entering the home, officers discovered the two women had been fatally shot.
