In the cold of a February night in Philadelphia, the life of a young man was tragically cut short. Steeve Charles, a 24-year-old African-American male, was found in his car on the evening of February 25, 2008. Police discovered him behind the wheel of his Nissan Maxima near his home on the 7500 block of Thouron Avenue. He had been shot at least twice and was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 10 p.m. The news of his violent death sent ripples of fear and sorrow through his West Oak Lane ...
