Death by Force

John Hightower, aged 24, was shot and killed on August 8, 2009, during an attempted robbery in West Philadelphia. The incident took place near Redfield Street and Master Street late at night. Hightower was walking with two friends when they were approached by two armed men. One of the men, armed with a sawed-off shotgun, demanded cash, cigarettes, and a cell phone from the group.
