In the early morning hours of a cold Saturday in January 2023, the life of 23-year-old Maison Hernandez was tragically cut short in the Crescentville neighborhood of Philadelphia. A young Hispanic man with a love for dance and dreams of one day opening his own business, he was found fatally shot in a parking lot on Rising Sun Avenue. The discovery was made around 6:30 a.m. on January 28th, leaving a family and a community to grapple with the sudden and violent loss.
