On May 27, 2012, Derrick Brown, a 32-year-old man from Pittsburgh, was fatally shot in the North Side of the city. Police found him with a gunshot wound to the chest at a park on Strauss Street. He was transported to Allegheny General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The circumstances around the shooting remain unclear, and no suspects have been arrested in connection to the crime.
