On July 5, 2012, Tre Dawkins, a 15-year-old from Philadelphia, was tragically shot and killed in a violent incident. The shooting took place in a neighborhood that has seen its share of gun violence, and the young victim's death highlighted the ongoing issues of safety and crime that plagued certain areas of Philadelphia at the time.
