On August 15, 2012, Terrence Gordon, a 33-year-old resident of North Philadelphia, was killed in a shooting at the Abbotsford Homes public housing complex in East Falls, Philadelphia. Officers responded to Authority Terrace shortly before 1 p.m., where they found Gordon lying on the sidewalk, bleeding from a gunshot wound to the head.
