In the summer of 2012, tragedy struck a North Philadelphia community with the death of Terrence Gordon. On the afternoon of August 15th, police responded to a call at the Abbotsford Homes public housing complex in the East Falls neighborhood. There, on a sidewalk along Authority Terrace, they discovered 33-year-old Terrence Gordon, a Black male, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after he was found.
