Hafiz Sarfaraz, a 33-year-old Philadelphia resident, was killed on May 8, 2013. Sarfaraz was a victim of a homicide that took place during a time of heightened violence in Philadelphia. According to police records, his death was part of the broader violence that plagued the city during 2013.
