Eugene V. Morgan, age 36, was brutally attacked and killed on October 28, 2006, in a wooded area near Lake Avenue by the Sacramento River in Red Bluff, California. He was found with severe head and facial injuries, and despite being initially in a coma, he later succumbed to his injuries. Morgan was part of the local transient community, and it is believed that individuals who were in the vicinity during the attack may hold crucial information.
Although two suspects were identified, no charges have been filed due to insufficient evidence. Authorities are still seeking information from the public regarding the case.
A reward of up to $5,000 has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
