On Friday, July 31, 2015, at approximately 1:33 a.m., Philadelphia Police Officers responded to the 1600 block of Staub Street, where they discovered James Brown, a 25-year-old African American male, lying in the street. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his neck and chest. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but despite their efforts, James Brown succumbed to his injuries.
