Rashawn Coates, a 19-year-old Black male, was tragically murdered in Philadelphia on January 9, 2016. The incident took place early in the morning, at around 1:22 a.m. Philadelphia Police Officers responded to the 800 block of North 49th Street, where Rashawn was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his chest, arms, and legs.
