Death by Force

Shawn Cavender, a 39-year-old resident of Pittsburgh, was tragically shot and killed on January 19, 2016. The incident occurred in his home on the 100 block of Southern Avenue in the Mount Washington neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Reports indicate that Cavender was involved in an argument with another individual, which escalated into violence. Cavender was shot multiple times in his lower extremities, and though he was transported to UPMC Mercy Hospital, he did not survive his injuries.
