On a Friday night in Philadelphia, the 18th of March, 2016, a residence on the 1300 block of West Seltzer Street became the scene of a tragedy. Inside, police officers discovered two young men who had been shot. One of them was James Griffen, a 19-year-old Black male who lived on that same block. He was found on the second floor of the house, having been shot multiple times.
