Christopher Thompkins, a 57-year-old resident of Pittsburgh, was shot and killed on January 22, 2017, by Pittsburgh police officers who were responding to a reported burglary at his home in the Larimer neighborhood. During the early morning hours, Christopher and his ex-wife Brenda awoke to find an intruder in their bedroom. Christopher grabbed a gun, prompting a series of tragic events as police arrived at the scene.
