Who struck Avery Roy Shipman with a car on May 10, 1970?
On May 10, 1970, 38-year-old Avery Roy Shipman was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Aloha, Oregon. Shipman was driving with his wife and mother along Highway 8 when a 1964 Chevrolet station wagon cut them off. After both vehicles pulled over, Shipman exited his car and walked towards the other vehicle. As he approached, the driver of the station wagon suddenly accelerated and struck Shipman, killing him at the scene. The vehicle then sped off towards Beaverton.
