On July 23, 1997, Sheron Kaye Cheney, a 50-year-old woman from Idaho, was found dead under mysterious circumstances near Hyatt Lake in Ashland, Oregon. She had been camping in the area with her boyfriend, Glenn Keagle. The couple had checked into a campground earlier that day, and Cheney was last seen walking along the road between the campground and a nearby resort during the early evening.
