On October 3, 2004, Jacquelene Shelavria Marcell, a 19-year-old woman, was found shot while sitting in the driver’s seat of her car near the intersection of North Michigan Street and North Skidmore Street in Portland, Oregon. Police arrived at the scene following reports of gunshots and discovered Marcell, who was still alive but critically injured. She was immediately transported to a hospital but succumbed to her injuries later that day.
