On December 11, 1983, Dianne Elaine Hodnett was tragically killed in an arson attack at the Shamrock Motel in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was staying in a room on the second floor when an unknown individual used an accelerant to start a fire in the hallway on the first floor.
