On July 8, 2008, Philip Gokool, age 36, was found shot to death in the front yard of a residence on Northwest 47th Street in Oklahoma City. Police responded shortly after midnight and discovered Gokool's lifeless body lying in the yard. Emergency services were called to the scene, but Gokool was pronounced dead soon after their arrival. The cause of death was determined to be multiple gunshot wounds, suggesting that he was targeted in a violent attack.
