On a summer night in Oklahoma City, the life of 25-year-old Caucasian female Venasa Swaissi was tragically cut short. On July 31, 2008, Swaissi, who worked as an exotic dancer, was killed in a violent encounter that would later be determined to be a homicide.

The investigation into her death led police to an 18-year-old suspect named Nicco Barnett. Authorities believed Barnett was responsible for not only Swaissi's death but also a robbery connected to the incident. He was subsequently ar ...
