On July 18, 2009, Pedro Sanchez, aged 40, was shot and killed while sitting in his vehicle at the Plantation Apartments in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The incident occurred just after 1:30 a.m., while Sanchez was inside his car, talking to another person. As he sat parked in the complex's lot, four unknown suspects approached his vehicle.
