On a cold February evening in Oklahoma City in 2011, the life of 33-year-old Jermy Daniel McKinney was tragically cut short. On February 2nd, two men forced their way into McKinney's home in what authorities believed was a robbery attempt. A struggle ensued between McKinney and the armed intruders.
During the violent confrontation, McKinney was shot and killed. His wife was present at the time of the home invasion.
The assailants fled the scene, leaving a grieving family and a shocked community in their wake.
In the immediate aftermath, law enforcement described the suspects as two Black males, estimated to be between 18 and 20 years old with medium to skinny builds. Despite the presence of a witness and an active investigation, no immediate arrests were made in connection with the murder of Jermy Daniel McKinney.
