On October 27, 2011, Henry Battles, age 64, was involved in an argument with another man, Larry Richardson, in northeast Oklahoma City near N.E. 14th Street and Washington. The confrontation escalated when a 17-year-old named Jimmy Owen arrived at the scene and shot both Battles and Richardson. Both men were rushed to the hospital, where Richardson, 58, eventually succumbed to his injuries on November 10, 2011.
