Raymond Lee Shields, age 49, was fatally shot on January 26, 2008, in the Valencia Park neighborhood of San Diego. The incident occurred at around 11:19 p.m. when a citizen reported a shooting at 200 55th Street. Upon arrival, officers found Shields suffering from a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported by paramedics to a trauma center, but unfortunately, he did not survive.
