Jose Monzon, a 37-year-old Hispanic/Latino man from Tulsa, Oklahoma, spent the late hours of Saturday, June 21, 2014, at an East Tulsa nightclub with family members, not knowing that a few chaotic minutes after closing time would cost him his life. In the early morning hours of June 22, the club emptied into the warm night air, and what should have been an ordinary end to a weekend outing turned into a deadly confrontation in the parking lot.
