On August 22, 1972, 72-year-old Hildeburn Martin was found shot to death in his home at 2756 S. High Street in Columbus, Ohio. He was killed with a .38 caliber handgun, and his residence had been thoroughly ransacked during the incident. The Columbus Police Department responded to the crime, but the case remains unsolved after many years.
