On September 27, 1973, John Shern was found dead in Dayton, Ohio, in what has since remained an unsolved homicide. The incident occurred in Montgomery County, and Shern was pronounced dead on the same day. The Dayton Police Department has been investigating the case, but so far, no suspects have been publicly identified.
