In the early morning hours of January 2, 1985 the victim's eleven year old daughter awoke and discovered her mother's bloody body in the master bedroom. The thirty year old victim's mostly nude body was found by responding units on the floor of her bedroom with numerous stab wounds. It appeared the victim struggled violently during the assault and most likely woke up the eleven year old daughter. There were three young children sleeping in the bedroom next to the master bedroom during the assault. The victim was divorced and resided with her three daughters. She had worked for 21st Century Health Spas for over seven years, but not at the time of her death. The victim had a New Year's Eve party that was attended by twenty or more people a day before her death. There were no signs of forced entry to any door, but there were knife cuts to a shower curtain, and window coverings in the bathroom where a window was found open.
