On December 26, 1986, James David Colliver, a 28-year-old resident of Upper Arlington, Ohio, was found dead in his home located at 3065 Redding Road. Police responded to reports of an injured person and discovered that Colliver had been shot multiple times. He was last seen alive on December 15, 1986, at around 6:00 p.m. at a local restaurant in Columbus.
