On June 16, 1989, Carrie Hartney, a 25-year-old resident of Akron, Ohio, tragically died alongside her two young children, Pamela (aged two) and Benjamin (eight months old), in a house fire. The incident took place at 1283 Andrus Street, and the fire was later determined to have been deliberately set, making this a case of arson. The Akron Police Department investigated the scene, but despite efforts, the case has remained unsolved.
