On September 17, 1989, the body of Walter Graham, a 65-year-old male, was discovered in the Mad River west of the city of Springfield, Ohio. His body was found by two canoers, lodged among tree limbs in the river. An autopsy later determined that Graham had died from multiple gunshot wounds.
