On September 12, 2004, Lidia Mejia-Diaz, a 24-year-old woman, was killed in a tragic fire at the Lynwood Lane Apartments in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred at 600 Lynwood Lane, where a fire broke out in the early morning hours, and many residents were awakened by the sounds of people yelling and pounding on doors to warn their neighbors.
