On February 15, 2009, Peter Azadian, aged 47, was attacked and beaten by a group of men while living as a homeless individual in the South of Market (SOMA) area of San Francisco. The incident took place on Stillman Street, between Second and Third Streets, at approximately 3 a.m. Azadian was left severely injured and was later transported to San Francisco General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on February 27, 2009.
