On June 18, 2006, Jarriel Hitchcock, aged 22, was shot and killed in Akron, Ohio. The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. when Jarriel was driving his vehicle near the intersection of Bellevue Avenue and Magennis Avenue in Summit County. During the drive, Jarriel was shot by an unknown suspect or suspects, which caused his vehicle to crash into a telephone pole. When law enforcement arrived at the scene, they found Jarriel deceased.
