On February 1, 2007, 20-year-old Kyle Davis was found dead in Maple Heights, Ohio. At approximately 7:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to Gardenview Avenue, where they discovered Davis lying in the snow, deceased from gunshot wounds to the head. Around the same time, Davis's car, a 1996 Buick Regal, was found on fire on McCracken Boulevard. Investigators later determined that the fire in the car was deliberately set, with gasoline poured inside and ignited using a portable device.
