On October 9, 2008, 27-year-old Carol E. Welch was found dead in her apartment at 1988 Fairmont Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. She was one of three victims in a tragic incident where all were shot multiple times. Carol Welch sustained at least 20 gunshot wounds, a brutal outcome of what police believed to be a targeted robbery involving drugs.
