On June 6, 2015, Italy McCrae, a 13-year-old girl from Columbus, Ohio, was tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred during the evening hours in a neighborhood where she was caught in a crossfire, a senseless act of violence that ended her young life. Italy had been at a residence when the gunfire broke out, and unfortunately, she was struck by bullets that were fired during an altercation involving others.
