On April 26, 2009, 31-year-old Cornelius Johnson was shot and killed in Emerald Hills Park in San Diego, California. The incident occurred around 4:05 p.m. when police were called to the park near the basketball courts after reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found Johnson suffering from gunshot wounds.
