On May 7, 2009, Carol Sandberg, age 60, and her husband Barry were found brutally murdered in their home in the Bay Park neighborhood of San Diego. The couple, avid motorcyclists who had been married for 30 years, were discovered in their bedroom, having been stabbed to death.
