On June 22, 2010, Alvin K. Beverette, a 28-year-old man, was shot and killed in front of a crowd of people on Wedgewood Drive, located on the southwest side of Columbus, Ohio. The shooting took place around 1:30 a.m., with several people reportedly present in the area when multiple shots were fired.
