On January 10, 2012, Alexander Lee, an 18-year-old from Dayton, Ohio, was found dead behind an abandoned house located at 4932 Genesee Avenue. This incident was Dayton's first homicide of 2012. Lee was shot at least once, and his body was discovered in a concealed area behind the house, close to a garage and another vacant property. The house itself had no signs of forced entry, and the area was obstructed, making it a somewhat hidden location.
